So far the experience has been sub par. Because we don't have external pressures, we're overcommitting and undershipping. We started last Wednesday (Jan 22) , should have been done at least by this Wednesday (Jan 29) First what went well: 1) Technology is relatively well defined. Not a lot in terms of spiking mid build, which is great. The initial "discover how to do something" is pretty solid 2) Finding a cafe/spot to work consistently? pretty good Some thoughts: 1) I'm not technically capable enough to write the code, and am passing it off to Nathaniel routinely. Not great 2) Providing motivation while sick is functionally impossible. Both of us rely on body doubling to get anything done. Introducing a third, external motivator will be key. I see deeply Sam Altman's advice on picking hard startups. Vision and mission are key in actually producing self-sustaining work.
